FAQ — how SentriRail works today
Short answers for agency operators. Technical assessment only — not legal advice. Browser monitor v2 is OFF by default; available authenticated control is html_limited until field gates and controlled activation pass.
What does Unknown mean?
Unknown means the control could not produce an interpretable observation: technical failure, blocked banner, insufficient coverage, or inconclusive data. Unknown is not “healthy” and not “action required”. It must stay visible until a usable result exists.
Why can a scan fail?
Common causes: SSRF/private URL refusal, rate limits, unreachable host, timeout, CAPTCHA/bot walls, or a consent banner that adapters cannot operate. Failures surface as failed/Unknown — they do not invent a green status.
Is Playwright browser monitoring (v2) available?
Not as a general product default. privacy_monitor_v2 stays OFF until authorized field validation and controlled M3 activation. Owner intent: v2 becomes the default scanner for new accounts at launch after those gates — it is not enabled by this FAQ. Today’s available path is html_limited and must not be sold as Playwright-equivalent.
Does mandate attestation prove I own the client site?
No. Control authorization is a declarative operator attestation (mandate to run a technical control). It is not DNS verification, not registrar proof, and not a legal power-of-attorney check.
Is SentriRail a CMP?
No. A CMP collects and stores consent choices. SentriRail observes whether privacy behaviour on a site matches what you expect after Accept/Reject (and related checks). Keep your CMP; SentriRail monitors observable behaviour.
Are the published prices final?
No. Catalogue amounts are DRAFT (not owner-approved). Live sales stay OFF (SENTRIRAIL_LIVE_SALES). Checkout may exist in Stripe test mode for engineering only.
Do teammate invites send e-mail?
Invite tokens and accept links work. Remote invite e-mail remains GATED without a configured provider (local archive only).
Is monitoring 24/7?
Do not sell 24/7 continuous browser surveillance. Portfolio controls run on scheduled cron when the worker is active, plus manual scans under daily quotas.
Are legal pages final?
Trust/legal pack remains DRAFT while LEGAL_COMPANY_* identity fields are missing. Pages must not be presented as counsel-validated.
